We are delighted to confirm that paperwork has now been completed for youth player, Filip Zadlo to sign for Polish Ekstraklasa side, Raków Częstochowa.
Raków finished second place in the Polish top flight division last season, only losing out on the title by a point to Lech Poznan. Filip has initially signed a 2 year deal with their Academy as an U18 player.
Filip joined Needham Market FC at the age of 14, progressing through our EJA sides. During his U16 season, he also played for our U18s, playing a key role in the Suffolk FA U18 Midweek Cup campaign and scored an important goal in the final on the way to victory.
Speaking on Filip’s move, Academy Head Coach James Mant said “We are delighted that Filip has been given the opportunity to pursue his dream of becoming a professional footballer. This chance is richly deserved after a season of outstanding performances for both our U16 and U18 sides. We look forward to following his progress closely and will continue to support him from afar.”
