Last week, our academy squad embarked on an pre-season training camp in the surroundings of the Peak District. The trip was a fantastic blend of physical preparation, team-building activities, and competitive fixtures designed to sharpen the players mentally and physically ahead of the new season.

The camp provided players with a unique opportunity to bond, challenge themselves, and push their limits in a variety of environments:

  • Camping helped build resilience, independence, and team spirit.

  • A fun, competitive game of cricket gave players the chance to relax and enjoy a different sport.

  • Team building activities encouraging players out of their comfort zones.

  • Players took on climbing and abseiling, overcoming fears and building trust as a group.

  • The team also tackled raft building, working together to design, construct, and race on the water.

On Day 2 we travelled to Buxton FC. A huge thank you to Jake and Tom at Buxton FC Academy for hosting us and facilitating two quality fixtures. The hospitality, facilities, and level of competition were top-class. We wish them the very best for the upcoming season!

We’re incredibly grateful to our Academy sponsors whose continued support makes opportunities like this possible. These experiences play a vital role in the personal and athletic development of our players. Special thanks to:
