Further to our partnership with Spanish Technical Elite Player Pathways (STEPP) we are delighted to have three students graduate and progress onto higher education in Spain. Dillon Olias, Ewan Johnson and Fred Mallet have recently moved to Costa Blanca, Spain to continue their football development alongside their chosen degree.
Academy Director, Robert Peace says “This is a fantastic opportunity for students to continue their development in football and gain key life skills, living abroad and immersing themselves in a different culture. It is important we provide high level exit pathways for our students and our partnership with STEPP allows this. We look forward to going out to Spain around Easter 2023 and watching the progress of our graduates out there.”
Academy graduate, Dillon Olias says “I thoroughly enjoyed my two years at Needham Market Academy. I was able to develop as a footballer, whilst simultaneously earning a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport. Through the Academy’s partnership with STEPP I am now able to play in the Nostra Copa, which is the equivalent to senior level of football. I have been here for less than a month, but if you love the Spanish culture and way of playing football, I couldn’t recommend this opportunity highly enough.”
Academy graduate, Fred Mallet says “I am very grateful for the partnership between Needham Market Academy and STEPP. The partnership has given me the opportunity to pursue my dream by continuing my football development while living in Spain in a new culture and environment.”
Academy graduate, Ewan Johnson says "Needham Market Academy gave me the opportunity and support to experience competitive mens football at a young age which has helped my development and confidence which I will be carrying on with STEPP in Spain."
